Alaska

I can't even begin to describe how amazing our vacation was this year. It was filled with precious memories with family, Three 3-year-old boys becoming best friends, God's amazing creation and JOY! I thank God for so much time in Alaska with a family I so dearly love.

I have to give a little synopsis of the love Owen and his cousin Quarton have for each other. Ok, they are not first cousins, Aaron and Keagan (Q's Daddy) are cousins. We don't care, we still say they are cousins and we are aunts and uncles to their kids and they are the same to ours. I can't even begin to express the love we have for Keagan and Dottie. Dottie is like a sister to me and Keagan a 3rd brother to Aaron. They are so dear to us, so we were so delighted to find that love continue on with our kids.

We were packing to leave Alaska and Quarton asked Aaron if he could go with us. Aaron explained that we didn't have a plane ticket for him, but we would love to have him come. We reminded him that we would see him when he visits Illinios in about a month. We continued packing and Owen and Quarton continued to play. I little while later Q comes in with his bank telling us that he has enough money to buy a ticket and he needs to be with his "best friend." Owen has called him his "best friend" since we got there and has continued to every day since. Q was willing to use all of his money to be with his buddy. We love you Q! Owen prays for you every night and reminds God that he misses you. We love your sweet sister too. Blessings to our family in Alaska!
