WHY?

Owen has started asking "Why?" in response to everything!
It's time for your nap...why
It's time for bed...why
Why did Jesus die on the cross?
Why did Noah not get a punishment? What is a punishment?
Why can't I run in the street? Why Mama, why?
Why can't I go to swimming lessons NOW?
The list could go on for days.

Last night, Aaron wanted to test him on this so when Owen told Aaron that he loved him, Aaron asked, "Why?"
Owen: Because I love you.
Aaron: Why?
Owen: I just do, I love you.
Aaron: Why?
Owen: Because that's what love is. It's how I feel.
Aaron: I love you too buddy.

I love to listen in on moments like this. I want to hold all three of my boys and tell them I love them...just because that's what love is.

Belated Birthday Post--Owen's Day

Here is Owen's big day. He turned 3 on Feb. 13th. Eli decided to sleep in on this day, so Owen had a birthday cake decorating party with Mommy and Baby Bear. As you can see, Owen chose to cover his cake with candy. I love this silly little boy!

Belated Birthday Post--Eli's Day

These are some pictures of Eli's big ONE year birthday. We took these on the big day (Feb. 12). Owen just had to sneak in on the fun too! I adore my sweet, sweet Eli. His smile just fills my heart with joy.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY BOYS

Where has the time gone my little ones?
My little 4 week and 2 year old are now ready to take on the world.
Have at it boys, but remember to take God with you all the way.

HOME

I dreamed a pefect dream last night...
Grandma was waiting at heavens gate with her arms outstretched
Grandpa was able to run to her, his vision fully restored
They embraced, sighed
and said
"We're home."

I will miss you Grandpa, but I'm glad you are HOME!

MY BOYS

I look at these pictures and can't help but smile. My sleeping baby Eli reminds me that he is in fact still a baby. I miss some of those tiny baby days...the sweet smell, the ability to hold him for hours, the skin so soft you think it is impossible to feel something better, and how he would fit perfectly on my chest when he slept. Now, life brings me to a silly boy in a new hiding place, laughter with Owen as he shows him how to walk and a sweet smile that is truly intoxicating! He may not be a newborn anymore, but he is still my baby. They will both be my babies for as long as I live.
